This is a casual, but cute, restaurant. This place surprised me with its innovative menu, as I expected it to more or less be a normal Mexican restaurant. However, their menu has the classics but also provides some unique fusion-type foods. For example, the spicy tuna guacamole is a genius idea for an appetizer and I really enjoyed the freshness of both the tuna and the avocado. For my main dish I got the sweet and spicy shrimp tacos which, again, incorporated Asian sweet chili flavor on a taco. Service was great too.

Had a great experience dining here! Our server, Shawn, was incredibly attentive and kind, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The vibe here is always so nice and welcoming, though it does get packed quickly, so plan accordingly! The menu has a variety of delicious options, and everything we tried was spot-on. Can't wait to come back!

I loved everything about this restaurant, except for being seated by the door to outside dining when it was extremely cold outside. There is a lot to choose from on the menu that was fairly priced and decent portions. I ordered the enchilada mixto a variety of three enchiladas, one chicken, vegetarian, and brisket. All were very delicious flavorful without being salty we ordered a side of rice with lime and cilantro, cooked to perfection and delicious. For me, the highlight of my meal was the tortilla soup. It was packed with flavor and lots of chicken in a rich red base. As for the alcohol, I got the smoky margarita flight absolutely delicious and well worth the price! Our service was pretty good and prompt. Each server negotiated the room with ease, avoiding any catastrophes and small spaces. Would I return? Absolutely but parking is a problem.

Excellent food. Tried the Buffalo Cauliflower Tacos ($13.95) and Mushroom Tacos ($13.95) as well as the Guacamole Traditional ($12.95) and really enjoyed the meal. The cauliflower was perfectly cooked while the mushrooms were plentiful, and the sauces/dressings brought everything together nicely. The guacamole was a bit pricey for the quantity served, but the flavor was good and it was evident that it was freshly prepared.

FORMERLY KNOWN AS LA CALACA FELIZ Always a family favorite and brisket nachos our usual go-to but tonight there was a tremendous over abundance of peppers. Will mention this next time I order. Overall fun festive and hopping with excellent service. On the fence as to whether the margaritas are worth $40 per pitcher but oh well.

I had a good time here! There is a lot of space, but they took a while to get us in which was absurd because it wasn't really busy -- however food came fast and service was overall good! The portions of tacos were fair, but we also came out happy hour, so I don't know if I would pay full price for the tacos! They were yummy but I wasn't blown away! I liked how the regular guac was a little bit spicy and they had interesting variations of the guacamole, like yellowfin etc.

Awesome mexican restaurant in Fairmount! The restaurant looks small from the front but stretches back into really fun dining room. There is a patio option that would be great on a sunny day. The staff was very friendly and personable. I was seated as soon as I walked in but I did make a reservation beforehand. Our waitress made the recommendation for the Baja tacos and they did not disappoint (9/10) The carnitas tacos were excellent (9/10). We also started with the guacamole sampler, which comes with house chips and salsa. The plain guac was just average, but both the street corn and the spicy tuna guacamole were amazing. My friend and I split a margarita pitcher and they were great! A little sweet but perfectly strong. Easily 4 drinks in a pitcher. Overall this place is great for a first date, catching up with friends, or just some amazing food. Cantina Feliz will definitely be added into my regular rotation.
